My 5 Favorites Of: February
Written by lupethefiasco on Sunday, 2 of March , 2008 at 10:38 pm
Willie is starting two new trends. First is talking in 3rd person. But more importantly I will be recapping the 5 best songs I listened to in the given month. It doesn’t matter if the song is 30 years old, if I enjoyed it during February, it will be on this list. I have had many more favorites of February, but I have posted all of those in various posts, so here are my unposted favorites.
The beat on this song is the most amazing thing to grace my ears in a while. It isn’t a very creative beat, but the strings along with the added churchish choir vocals, rocks. B.o.B. is a new rapper probably coming from the atl, who has been making quite the buzz all over the blogs.
4: Cadence Weapon- In Search Of The Youth Crew
I love Cadence Weapon. He has an amazing flow, and raps about fun stuff. Plus, his beats are fun enough to not be cheesy, but bangin (r.i.p.) at the same time. Make sure to check out his newest LP “Afterparty Babies”, which comes out this Tuesday.
This song is awesome. The dynamic duo of Danger Mouse and C-Lo produce catchy hit after hit. This song will quickly become one of the most popular songs in America, in the same way “Crazy” swept over our lovely nation.
2: MGMT- Kids (mediafire link, sorry)
This song has literally been stuck in my head the whole month, it’s so damn catchy. Oracular Spectacular is one of my favorite albums of 2008, yes 2008 has been 2 months, but who cares? This CD is good.
1: Lupe Fiasco (Featuring Nikki Jean)- Hip-Hop Saved My Life
This is my favorite song of both 2007 and the beginning of 2008. Yes, Lupe Fiasco is the best rapper alive. The lyrics in this song really make you root for the H-Town native who is struggling.
