New track from Buke & Gass. I hadn’t heard of the duo until today, but they are signed to the Dessner’s Brassland label, and have a new record coming out in September. In anticipation of the new record, we have “Medulla Oblongata” available for download. The first single is one of the coolest tracks I’ve heard in some time, with a shifting pulse that keeps the listener off balance, until the vocals come in and the feel becomes a bit more established. Arone Dyer’s vocals are fantastic, mixing complexity with a keen sense of catchiness.
