Alex Bleeker and the Freaks

The whole Real Estate/Ducktails collective are backing up Real Estate bassist Alex Bleeker on his self titled LP. The group consists of: Alex Bleeker (Real Estate), Matt Mondanile (Real Estate, Ducktails), Martin Courtney IV (Real Estate) and Julian Lynch. The LP will be the great Underwater Peoples first full-length release, so it’s a pretty big deal. I haven’t heard the entire thing, but what I’ve heard sounds really good. Sure, there are similarities between this project and the other ones that they’re all involved in, but while Real Estate chills, Alex Bleeker rocks. He did a cover of Mountain Man’s “Animal Tracks”, that’s really stellar. You can download it below, and I highly recommend you do so. You can pre-order the LP right here.
