Themselves To Tour + New MP3

Themselves are probably my favorite hip hop group/act in the world right now. Their upcoming CrownsDown is easily my favorite hip hop album of the year (so far), displaying incredibly quick flow with awesome beats. As usual per Anticon, this album is nothing short of fantastic. Hitting stores October 20th, I recommend you don’t forget to pick this up. If you’re not a fan of rap music, it’s probably a bit hard to get into, but if you have a bit of an open mind you may dig it.
The duo consisting of Jel and Doseone have given us “You Ain’t It” as a first single. The chorus is laced with auto-tune, while the verses are oozing with brilliant flow and lyricism (what I can understand of it, of course). Maybe the first song to ever display a great use of auto-tune while still showing speed and precision, “You Ain’t It” is a pretty insane track. Themselves played San Francisco last night with Busdriver, which I imagined was a tremendous show. They’ll be touring with the very angry but great Eyedea & Abilities, hitting up a good portion of the US. Check out the dates below, and download “You Ain’t It.”
