Odd Blood

Fans of wonderful music rejoice! Yeasayer’s sophomore LP, Odd Blood, will be coming to us February 9th. All Hour Cymbals is an amazing album, and I’m expecting Odd Blood to be just as good, if not better. The band last left us with “Tightrope”, the tremendous Dark Was The Night track. The album was first recorded in the hills of Woodstock, NY at the Marotta lair, then transferred to New York City to add the finishing touches. We got All Hour Cymbals way back in ’07, so it’s truly been too long since we’ve heard anything from the gang. They’ll be playing the Guggenheim Museum in New York on October 30th, so if you’re in the city make sure to go. The LP will be coming to us via Secretly Canadian, who have been putting out nothing but amazing releases lately. Check out the track listing for Odd Blood below, and download a couple of tracks as well.

[...] You might recognized a few songs, since the band played “Madder Red”, “ONE”, “I Remember”, and “Amblin’ Alp” on their recent summer tour. Speaking of live performances, Yeasayer will be playing the Guggenheim Museum in New York City on October 30, where a very special show has been promised. [via The Tape is Not Sticky] [...]
