Renowned producer/composer/multi-instrumentalist Chris Taylor adds to his already varied and impressive resume with the inception of Terrible Records. For now, the mom and pop institution will focus on a series of exclusively 7 inch releases, some of which are likely to be available for purchase/listening during the Labels inaugural CMJ music showcase. The incipient release in the 7 inch set features a solo Chris Taylor track entitled “Ghosts”, and is coupled with a B-Side consisting of a late 70′s Arthur Russell release called Come to Life. This pairing, collectively called CANT, is currently available in limited quantities (1000 copies) and suggests an exciting and innovative future for the upstart label. Enjoy the A-Side of CANT and be on the lookout for other “terrible” releases in the coming months.
Pop over to their website for updates regarding the CMJ showcase as well as upcoming releases and events.
