Helado Negro & the 5 Borough Tour

Starting August 22nd and ending August 27th, Helado Negro will be doing what only 50 Cent has done, and that is play a show in all 5 boroughs in New York City. They’ll start out August 22nd in Queens, then play August 23rd in the Bronx. Roberto Lange and co. will then play in Manhattan August 24th, followed by Brooklyn on the 25th and Staten Island on the 27th. The Staten Island show is not one to miss, for they’ll be playing on the Staten Island Ferry. I desperately wish I was in New York at that time. Along with Roberto Lange, the live group consists of members from the bands Savath & Savalas, Yeasayer, Stars Like Fleas, Guy Fantastico, and Born Heller. While on the rest of the tour, Roberto Lange will meet up with painter/kinetic sculptor David Ellis in Charlottesville at the Bridge to score a new sculpture by Ellis.
