Fuck Buttons Return With Tarot Sport

As many of you are well aware, UK duo Fuck Buttons are responsible for making some of the most genre defying, hypnotizing, trance inducing sounds most of us have ever heard. (Think Steve Reich meets Collections of Colonies of Bees meets Geotic) Their LP debut Street Horrrsing, which was met with a number of laudatory reviews, also sparked a drastic polarization of opinions, ranging from “a tsunami of tense oscillations and Brontosaurus-colonic tones”, to “ambient hipster garbage”. However, regardless of any negative criticism, any band that possesses such an idiosyncratic/obscure/provocative vision and still manages to garner a torrential downpour of acclaim, and a million plus myspace hits to boot is clearly doing something right. Indeed, I still can’t quite contextualize my opinions on the previously mentioned debut LP. Here’s hoping Tarot Sport (set to be released Oct. 20) is equally puzzling and incomprehensible!
