The excitement is almost tangible. The event of summer ’09 is just around the corner (this saturday) and with fantastic lineup additions and free ice-cream, I see absolutely no possible reason for any Los Angeles resident to be anywhere else on July 18. Anyhow, hope to see you all there and here’s the current press release regarding Beach Dazed!!!

It’s that time of year again when Los Angeles nights warm up and your best pals swimsuit up, so listen up because we’re gonna let you know what’s up!

FMLY and The Tape Present our first annual Beach Dazed, a twelve hour celebration of Los Angeles’ music and arts community on July 18 with free ice cream from the Ice Cream Man, Korean BBQ by the Calbi truck, two stages, a slip ‘n’ slides, water balloon fights, a pool, slide, local artists, great food, ky wrestling (keeping our fingers crossed), and a ton more everything once you get here that will surely to make a splash in your summer! In partnership with Filter Magazine, PAUS, and Tightrope we are proud to unite as a city to bring you two stages of music and endless day and nighttime activities with RJD2, Voxtrot, Busdriver, Best Coast, [Post-foetus], Alligators, DJDT, Haim, Pizza!, ‘REALLY, very’, Railcars, Evan Voytas, Your Majesty performing an all 8bit DJ set, Riplee, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and guest DJs!

Tickets can be purchased for $30 via InTicketing right here, and to settle your conscience for every ticket bought a tree is planted and apparently these tickets are made from hemp as well! We recommend purchasing your ticket(s) now as the door price is $40, and feel free to scalp! We can use the street cred. At the door discount: for all Los Angeles students with a valid ID, tickets will be sold for $20.
