The Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle are raucous. The good raucous. My latest noise obsession, this band seems to be more melodic than some of the others that I’ve been digging lately. The first track I received, was “Prizefighter”, a loud dance party, that sounds like a Vivian Girls and Crystal Stilts love child. It’s super rad. I love the mix of boy/girl vocals the band uses. The band is getting pretty big, opening for some major indie (major indie, LOLZ) acts. They’ve played with Black Lips, Deerhunter, Atlas Sound, Jay Reatard, Awesome Color, King Khan and the BBQ Show, and Quintron. Those are some pretty badass credentials, pretty awesome for only playing together for about a year. Within the first year they have released two 7 inches, two 12 inches, and 2 cassettes – all of which
have sold out almost immediately.
Check ‘em out on Myspace, and make sure to buy some music. You won’t be disappointed.
