A little bit late, sorry guys. Two gems for you this week. First up is Beyonce’s “Halo.” This track is ridiculous. Hopefully it’ll reach the same level as “Single Ladies” or “Irreplaceable.” I don’t think it’s possible to reach the level of infectiousness those two have, but it comes pretty damn close. Her vocals float over a great synthline, it’s beautiful.
Next, we have a real treat. “Viva La Vida” is a classic of this segment, as is “Just Dance.” Put ‘em all together and what do you get!? Lady GaGa covering Coldplay. It doesn’t get much better than this, folks.

That was a complete butchery of the song. It wasn’t cute that she didn’t know the words, it just came off as not caring. It reminded me of drunk karaoke with too much bravado.
