Guilty Music Monday #41

I’d like to think this is one of the best GMM’s so far, enjoy!
We start off with “I Hate Everything About You” by Three Days Grace. Gabo, Macklin, and I re-discovered the beauty of this song while we were learning how to run a festival at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas (LOLZ). Anyways, I hate everything about this song, but it’s angrily addictive. The video is a complete joke. I love angry rock bands who take themselves super seriously.

Next, we have Lily Allen’s cover of the Britney Spears song “Womanizer.” I haven’t really heard the Britney version all the way through, but I already feel like Mrs. Allen did a better job on it then Britney did. The song starts off sort of comically when Mark Ronson says “Hey Stereogum, I have a Lily Allen song you’ve never heard before.”
Surprise! We round this GMM out with yet another My Chemical Romance song. This one is from their second album, and is entitled “Famous Last Words.” It’s pretty epic, if I do say so myself. It features a lot of loud singing and even louder dueling guitars. I love that the chorus is catchy though. The dynamic between this harsh, aggressive verse and a catchy, up-tempo chorus is truly awesome.

Great MyChem song. I’ve always thought that the hook was very poignant(sp?).
BTW, has anyone heard any of the new Used? I just saw their new video the other day and I have to say I love it…what do you all think?
