The newest Eminem song has just leaked, and it’s called “Crack A Bottle.” I really have no idea if he’s trying to steal “Preservation” from Wu-Tang, or if he’s just using it as a sample type thing. If he’s trying to take it as his own as opposed to sampling it, I assume people will notice that it isn’t his song. Anyways, listen to both tracks below and make your own informed decision.
Next, we have Young Jeezy and Nas with “My President.” This song has been around for a while, but it still amazes me, especially the genius lyricism Young Jeezy displays in the chorus:
My president is black
My Lambo’s Blue
And I’ll be God damned if my rims ain’t too
Last, we have T.I.’s hit single “Whatever You Like.”
I would just like to refer everyone to this post. “Whatever You Like” became America’s number one song around September 13th, according to Wikipedia. That post was on July 17th… That’s how prompt we are with bringing you the best shit. Ever.

Everything must come to an end, and for Dmitry Fyodorov who has been putting out dark and twisted dance tracks every day of the 29th for the past year, this is sadly true. The man who brought us songs like “Greetings D” and “1987″ is now returning to his cave (to make more devious tunes hopefully). However he leaves us with one final offering: Bake Sale. It’s what we’ve come to expect from the man, frenzied, somewhat sinister, and surprisingly delicious.

Eliot Rose makes charming, electronically backed, bedroom pop with a D.I.Y attitude and a slightly lofi sound. If you can’t imagine these songs scribbled on the track list of an adorable mix cd or soundtracking the pivotal moments in another quirky indie comedy then shame on you. Supported by his knowledge of the thumb piano and his ventures in Casio driven pop music, Eliot Rose delivers songs that sound like a kid in his bedroom imagining wild adventures with all of his action figures, and scribbling down the melodies to go along. In his words:
Eliot Rose began recording music in 1999 under the name the Scientifics. In those early days he was a lo-fi Casio purist, singing songs about physics and love under lots of mid-range and tape hiss. Over the course of three albums The Scientifics’ fidelity climbed higher and their numbers grew. It was an exhilarating time, but it ended in exhaustion after a 2004 tour that scattered bandmates across the states and left the Scientifics’ future in doubt. In 2005, Eliot left the U.S., first to travel through Japan and then live in Romania for a year. During this time he learned to play the thumb piano and taught himself the homespun art of digital recording, continuing to engage in lots of trial and error upon returning to Portland. The resulting album, The Calculated Dream, released in August 2008, is full of peppy songs about longing, travel, pep itself, and death, buoyed up on on layers of synthesizer, thumb piano, sampled beats, and melodica. It is the first album to be released under Eliot’s own name, as a personal guarantee of quality to all listeners.

Flosstradamus recently teamed with Chairlift singer, Caroline Polachek to release their first ever self produced single, on Mountain Dew’s Green Label Sound. This song features a cheesy pop line that gives this song a guilty feel to it. Caroline Polachek’s voice isn’t prominent enough in the track to take away from the beat, so it really is all about the beat… Which is probably what Flosstradamus intended when releasing their first ever self produced track. Not a bad first track at all… Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone who showed up to our festival yesterday, we had a great time and we hope you did as well. Anyways, another good GMM… Enjoy!
Is this song even guilty? The word on the street is that Beyonce’s new album sucks, but based on this song alone, I would tend to disagree. Beyonce- Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)
Yeah, you remember this song. You used to love it, too. Tristan (Tehrodman) and I have been getting really into early ’00’s pop music, and it’s all absolutely fantastic. The All-American Rejects- Move Along
I don’t know what it is about this song, but I really enjoy it. Maybe it’s his attacking voice, or the huge guitars that come in… Either way, I will listen to this song any time of the day. Say Anything- Every Man Has A Molly

Under Electric Light is from Montreal. He makes shoegazey indie pop which sounds like you riding the ferris wheel at midnight with sunglasses and cotton candy. He has a new EP out called After The Blue and I recommend you pick it up as it will part the clouds and cause a ray of distorted joy to illuminate your day.
