The Tape

Red Wire Black Wire

Sharp toothed electro pop from the college that housed MGMT. Red Wire Black Wire fits this special place in my heart for almost cookie cutter pop that breaks the mold. The edgy bass on Locked Out says MGMT, the guitar wails call to mind the best of “those British pop acts” (or maybe Tokyo Police Club) and the synth stabs add the final delicious ingredient to a perfect pop smoothie. Compass takes a less straight to the heart punch of pop music and provides an almost brooding tale who’s music video seems to be abnormally imminent. Give these guys a listen because I promise they will make you dance and that’s really what we like right?
