The Tape

Hallelujah

Written by lupethefiasco on Thursday, 2 of October , 2008 at 2:35 pm

I was just listening to a studio session of Jeff Buckley’s (RIP) version of “Hallelujah,” and I can’t tell if it has uplifted me or made me depressed. The song gives me chills every time I hear it, because Jeff Buckley had one of the most incredible voices and this cover is probably my favorite cover of all time. On a not so depressing note, I have a few new songs for all of you, so enjoy!

Jeff Buckley- Hallelujah

Not new, but I realized how miraculously amazing Patrick singing about his rock really is.
Patrick- Under My Rock

Banjo or Freakout are very adventurous with their covers- they also covered Burial’s “Archangel”.
Banjo or Freakout- Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa (Vampire Weekend cover)

I’ve slept on this for a while, but I still highly recommend it.
The Rosebuds- Get Up Get Out (The Hood Internet Remix Feat. Aesop Rock)
