Kanye, T.I., and Weezy (No, not Swagger Like Us Pt. 2)

This years VMA’s kind of sucked, only because Lupe played for all of two minutes. You either put someone on for a whole song, or leave them off the bill all together. Don’t disrespect him like that. That is enough of a rant. We have 3 videos and a live mp3 for you guys, so enjoy!
Kanye West premieres his new single “Love Lockdown”.
Kanye West- Love Lockdown (Live)
T.I. performing “Whatever You Like” and another one. “Whatever You Like” is so catchy.
Last, and probably least we have a Lil Wayne medley.

I’m surprised they gave Lupe that much time as it is. Dude’s biggest single came and went like a California wildfire. You should be happy he’s still getting that kind of exposure, albeit for 2 minutes. But it’s the VMAs, not a music festival. Time is tight.
And I’ve reached my limit. I loved every move Kanye made from College Dropout through Graduation through the multiple guest appearances and beats right up to “Swagger Like Us”, but damn… this new song sounds boring and way, way, way too processed. If it was anybody BUT Kanye performing that song, people would head for the exit. Maybe I’ll change my mind when they actually release it.

Kanye isn’t a rap star anymore. He’s a pop star. His ego is too big, his production values too high, and his desire to actually rap too small. For better or worse, this is his transition right here. I kinda digg it.
